John Isner and Jack Sok were the legendary Mike and Bob Brian with 7:6 (4), 7:6 (2) and took the title of pairs in the Masters Series in Indian Wells. The duel lasts an hour and 27 minutes, and Sok and Isner are the first duo in the US with triumph in the desert after the Brian brothers who won the trophy in 2013 and 2014.
Also, Sock and Isner are only the third tandem with success in Indian Wells without losing a set in the five-match tournament. This is the second cup after they eliminated the Bryan brothers in the semifinals in 2016 in Beijing and subsequently won the title.
Su-Wei Hsie and Barbora Stratsova defeated Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina (champions of the year 2013) with 6:4, 6:4 in 83 minutes to win first prize in Indian Wells tandem. Stratova already has 21 titles in pairs in her career, and for Hsiye the bowl is number 20 and second in the desert after five years ago she won her as a duet with Peng Shuiy. Before relegating to the final, Vesnina and Makarova had not lost a set in the tournament.
