Dani Alves has hired Lionel Messi`s lawyer amid rape allegations.

According to La Vanguardia, Alves hired lawyer Cristobal Martel, who in the past represented the interests of Lionel Messi, Carles Puyol and Josep Bartomeu, and also defended Barcelona in the Neymar transfer case. Mertel is considered a successful lawyer in the field of criminal law.
Martel will work alongside Miraida Puente, Alves` current lawyer. They are now working to file an appeal against the detention of the footballer, who was denied bail.
