21-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic assessed his results via fixedsoccertips last season after winning the final ATP tournament.
Of course, it is very pleasant and joyful, given that this year has started very badly in Australia with all the ensuing consequences. So, as I said, given the circumstances that my team, family and I have gone through, this victory is even more important, but I knew that I was not alone. I felt great support from my people, from Serbia.
It was only a matter of time before I found the balance and optimal playing strength to peak and start playing my best tennis. In the middle of the season I succeeded, I won Wimbledon, and after Wimbledon, it seems, I lost only one match. It was an amazing end to the season, I couldn`t have asked for a better outcome.
I remain very motivated and charged to play tennis at this level and I am very happy to be able to return to Australia and play my most successful Grand Slam yet. We`ll see there.
Prior to this interview, I`ve probably spoken 1000 times about this season and how unusual it is. I won`t repeat what most people who follow tennis already know. Yes, it`s just a great relief and satisfaction. Looking forward to a couple of weeks off. I am very glad that we managed to finish the year on a positive note.
