The coach, who brought Slovenia to the first European title in the history of the country, predicted a bright future in the NBA of the young hope of local and European basketball - Luka Doncic. Igor Kokoshkov is currently devoted to his work in Utah Jazz where he is one of the assistants in the coaching staff. Kokoshkov, who also has US citizenship, has been among the most respected NBA coaches for many years and has worked for Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic. Besides Slovenia, he was also head of Georgia, and Detroit had a league predicted by soccer partners title in 2004.
Doncic, who is currently playing for Real, is considered as the No. 1 in the next NBA Draw.
